About USA Track & Field
Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track & field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States. USATF encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of Olympic broadcasts, the No. 1 high school and junior high school participatory sport and more than 30 million adult runners in the United States.
About USATF Adirondack Association
USATF Adirondack Association serves as the local branch of USATF to promote the development of the sport of athletics, which includes the disciplines of track & field, distance running and race walking, coordinate the scheduling of competitions, communicate policy to athletes, sanction events, provide for participation of amateur athletes in amateur athletic competition, support women, disabled, and masters in athletics, certify officials, and to encourage open competition.
USATF Adirondack serves the northeastern portion of the state of New York including, Albany, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Delaware, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, St. Lawrence, Ulster, Warren and Washington counties.
